WDFH-FM E-MAIL ADDRESSES

OUR REQUESTS ABOUT E-MAIL — or IMPROVING INTERNET ETIQUETTE and REDUCING E-MAIL ABUSE:

WDFH has been inundated, as have many others, with abuses of our e-mail system.  E-mail can be a valuable and efficient means of communicating relevant things, but it's come to be used for way too much that is irrelevant.

NEW REQUEST (May 2003):  We have recently suffered a massive increase in spam in WDFH's e-mail system.  In a low-tech effort to help us sift through the muck and find what's really relevant, we ask that you please type "WDFH-FM" plus the topic of your e-mail in the subject line — thus, if you want to pledge, type "WDFH-FM pledge" in the subject line.  With luck, the spammers won't be able to circumvent this on a mass basis.

Please also read the following requests before sending your message:

  1. Pick out one address you think is most likely to reach your intended recipient and use that one.  There's no need to send the same e-mail message to multiple recipients at WDFH.  If your e-mail gets to the wrong person, we'll forward it internally.

  2. Simple, old-fashioned plain-text e-mails only — for security reasons, please do not send attachments.  Any e-mails with attachments will be deleted without being opened.

  3. NO SALES/MARKETING E-MAILS!  Unsolicited marketing and sales e-mails are hideous inventions that constitute an abuse of internet bandwidth and a waste of everyone's valuable time.  We strenuously object to this invasion of our private spaces and consciousnesses with the incessant din of marketing and hype.  Therefore, such e-mails will also be deleted without being opened.

  4. Please — NO MASS MAILINGS and E-MAIL LISTS!  Please do not include WDFH e-mail addresses on any mailing lists you maintain.  When you send an e-mail multiple recipients, the only thing that any of your recipients has to do is hit "reply all" — and before you know it, we're on yet another unwanted e-mail list.  Please protect our privacy and that of your other recipients by sending e-mails one by one, or at least bcc'ing us.  We'll all thank you.

Thanks.  Having said that, here are the addresses.  Another low-tech anti-spam effort:  This info is in a graphic and is thus probably inaccessible to the insidious things that crawl the web and mine for e-mail addresses on behalf of spammers.  One minor drawback is that the addresses below are not clickable or cut-and-pastable.  Please retype the appropriate address into your e-mail address line — and please don't forget to put "WDFH-FM" plus your topic in the subject line!
