Our requests about e-mail:

WDFH has been inundated, as have many others, with abuses of our e-mail system.  E-mail can be a valuable and efficient means of communicating relevant things, but it's come to be used for way too much that is irrelevant.  To help us sift through the muck, please type "WDFH-FM" plus the topic of your e-mail in the subject line — thus, if you want to pledge, type "WDFH-FM pledge" in the subject line.  So far, the spammers haven't been able to circumvent this on a mass basis.

  • Pick out one address you think is most likely to reach your intended recipient and use that one.  There's no need to send the same e-mail message to multiple recipients at WDFH.  If your e-mail gets to the wrong person, we'll forward it internally.

  • For public service announcements:  WDFH supports nonprofits in the lower Hudson River valley by broadcasting PSAs.  At least three weeks before your event, please send a brief plain text e-mail briefly explaining the who, what, where, when, etc.  Make sure you include contact information, including the name and address of your nonprofit, and a phone number and website (if available) for listeners who want more information.  Please do not send lengthy press releases or attachments.  We're sorry but we can't accept PSA requests from organizations that are not in our service area or from commercial organizations.

  • Simple, old-fashioned plain-text e-mails only — for security reasons, please do not send attachments.

  • Please — no sales or marketing e-mails!  Unsolicited marketing and sales e-mails are hideous inventions that constitute an abuse of internet bandwidth and a waste of everyone's valuable time.  We strenuously object to this invasion of our private spaces and consciousnesses with the incessant din of marketing and hype.

  • Please — no mass mailings or e-mail lists!  Please do not include WDFH e-mail addresses on any mailing lists you maintain.  When you send an e-mail to multiple recipients, the only thing that any of your recipients has to do is hit "reply all" — and before you know it, we're on yet another unwanted e-mail list.  Please protect everyone's privacy by sending e-mails one by one, or at least bcc'ing us.  We'll all thank you.

Thanks.  Here are the addresses.  These addresses are not clickable or cut-and-pastable.  Please retype the appropriate address into your e-mail address line, and of course substitute @ for    a t    — and please don't forget to put "WDFH-FM" plus your topic in the subject line!
